In order to obtain a marriage license from Luna County, NM the following is required:

You must present 'Proof of Age' by either of the items listed:

• Driver's License;
• Certified Copy of Birth Certificate; or
• Military Identification.

Ages 16 -17 may apply only with consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Marriage licenses for those under the age of 16 years requires a 'Petition to the District Court' (consult an attorney for legal advice).

There is a $25 fee upon 'Submission of Application'.

Marriages may be performed by members of the Clergy, a Probate, Municipal, District, or Magistrate Judge, or anyone authorized by law.

'Certificate of Marriage' should be returned to the County Clerk where it was issued within 90 days.
