The New Mexico Constitution established this part time county position of probate judge.  The probate judge’s responsibilities are the following:

• Performs marriages.
• Admission of Will to informal probate.
• Informal appointment of personal representatives.
• After a verified application of a personal representative, she signs an order granting and establishing personal representative rights to execute an estate.
• To enable the personal representative to obtain a discharge of liens securing her performance.
